FYI, The American Red Cross President and CEO Marsha J. Evans salary for the year 2010 was $651,957 plus expenses. The United Way President Brian Gallagher receives a $364,000 base salary along with numerous expence benefits. UNICEF CEO Carol M. Stern receives $1,200,000 per year (100k per month), plus all expenses including a ROLLS ROYCE. Less than 5 cents of a donated dollar goes to the cause. The Salvation Army does not disclose the salary of it's Commissioner, Todd Bassett, but you can be sure it is a lot less than the salaries of the above CEO's. 90% of the funds received by the Salvation Army goes directly to the cause. 10% goes to administration.
